Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The name says it all. Well, not quite.

Judging by the title, most people get the wrong idea about this fantastic show. You know, a ditsy valley girl running around fighting 'vampires'. You're probably also saying 'What kind of a name is Buffy?' Well, to be honest, that's what I thought at first glance also.

But most people in the world learn that books can't be judged by their covers. This show is all about 'girl power' to quote the Spice Girls. Buffy's what we all strive to be; a beautiful, strong, independent woman conquering everything that gets thrown her way. Plus, I don't know about you, but I'd LOVE to be in some of Season 6's situations with the delicious Spike. MM... yummy.

Back to the point: This show is genius. Joss is my master. After the horrible movie made in 1992, I thought I'd hate the show. But one afternoon, when nothing else was on, I flipped to a channel it was playing on. I was hooked. Every day I'd watch it, then I bought the entire series. It was well worth the money. My personal favorite episode is 'Once More With Felling', the musical episode in which the actors and actresses show off their skills of singing and dancing. It's an amazing thing to watch.

Anyways, this show is well worth the time to check out. But be sure to keep an open mind. I'm not saying you'll be like me, and after one episode you'll blow your paycheck on the 7 box sets, but if you're anything like me, you'll love it. The show relates to real world problems and obstacles by using demons and vampires. It's fantastic. It also entraps you into the characters lives, like you can actually feel the conflict of emotions in the show. That is thanks to the writers, directors, and, of course, the amazing cast.

So give it a try. Now, I'm currently getting into it's spin-off, Angel. Just need a little more cash for them box sets....
