My mothers, grandmothers, and brothers
Come to me often when I'm dreaming.
I feel them when I'm driving.
I hear them when I'm writing.
Their spirits enfold me,
Warming my soul like thick, bubbly cocoa,
Calling up memories sweet and safe as melty marshmallows,
Leaving loving messages in my mind,
Leaving visions of the joyful past and merry times.
They come to me when I'm dreaming.
I feel them when I'm driving.
I hear them when I'm writing.
My mothers, grandmothers, and brothers...
Just long-passed loved ones, stopping by.
