The Walking Wounded
You may know just who they are,
they often dwell amongst us,
the walking wounded, full facade,
at
No one can hurt you anymore
nor can you love as you did before
when all it took was one you now abhor
to make you dead inside
Deadly pain,
Hidden behind a fake smile,
Choking sobs,
Hidden behind false laughter.
Pain hidden so well,
It's barely felt.
