Does the theory of positive thinking make sense? ~ No, definitely not and I found this theory out the hard way. Back in the mid 80s, traditional counseling became a part of my life and my journey to healing the imprinting of my childhood. Long before I truly understood the implications of excellent therapy for healing and the fact that I was highly empathic and very intuitive, I did not know that I was about to embark on a journey of awakening.
With each level and progression of healing, I began creating an energy field around me. Learning how to develop my psychic and intuitive abilities, and learning and eventually teaching psychic and intuitive development and the Tarot, would bring me to a place of awareness that was growing, evolving and expanding my perseptions and awarenesses beyond my everyday norm'
At this point, I would have 6 solid and consistent years, as this understanding became a natural part of my life and my thinking processes. And then I hit a major snag in my road, my ever evolving journey. I was stumped and mystified by my experience. I was intuitive and empathic, how could I not know or understand what was happening?
A friend suggested that I utilize the power of positive thinking. So I began working with affirmations that were positive to change my way of thinking. I did this for awhile. After all, this was part of the new age awakening and if is was part of the new age, it was supposed to work. Well, it did not work. In fact, my life began breaking down even more. Serious time was passing me by and panic and fear was becoming part of my theme in my life.
Days turned into months and eventually months would turn into years. I would soon learn that not only was positive thinking not working by any stretch of my imagination, I began thinking I was doing something wrong or just plain ole missing my mark. However, something unusual was happening. Although, things would continue to breakdown, I began noticing a deeper sense of intuition kicking in and guiding me.
What was weird about this experience, was that I was still acting from the new age approach, even tho' I knew that this approach was just not working for me at all. I would soon discover the reasons why my life was breaking down to such levels. I would soon discover that although positive thinking is a nice theory, because I began activating all of this energy through teaching psychic and intuitive awareness and the Tarot, I would soon learn that I was accessing deeper levels of energy
