My selection of 8 paid survey websites

There are numerous survey websites on the internet, but not many really pay members. Since January 2009 I have joined over 20 survey websites. After 10 months I have been paid by most of them at least once, sometimes more. Here is my selection of the 8 best paid survey websites in reverse order. The main criteria I have applied are:

a) they are a genuine paid survey website;

b) the payment per survey is reasonable, and

c) the survey length is shorter than most others.

In 8th place: Adpaid.com

Adpaid is a daily international survey website. It mixes paid to click, paid-survey, paid email and cash back styles in one. As a member you can receive a few survey invitations every day. Their surveys are no different from most survey websites, but the rewards are fixed to $0.80 per survey. The payout threshold is as low as $3 and can be transferred to your PayPal or Alert Pay account within 7 days.

Personal experience: I have been paid many times since I have joined Adpaid.com in January 2009. My total earnings to date are $101. Also the transactions were always completed within 24 hours to my PayPal account.

In 7th place: Global Opinion Panels

Global Opinion Panels, also known as 'Synovate', is a paid survey website, which operates in 46 countries and has questioned millions of consumers for more than 50 years.

You can only participate in its survey after you receive an invitation via your email. You get points for completing its surveys as well as one entry into the quarterly sweepstakes of the site. It means you can make 33p for your 30 minutes at the best. You have to have at least 9000 points to redeem a cheque, which is equal to 5 pounds and sent by post. Generally it will take 6-8 weeks for you to get it.

Personal experience: I came across the website via a cash back website in February 2009. One day I received an invitation email to participate in its survey, which took 20 minutes, but the reward was 6000 points. I reached the lowest payout in May 2009. Four weeks later after my redemption I received a cheque for 5 pounds from them.

In 6th place: Toluna.com

Toluna is a community website that has over 400 000 members. As a member you can vote or participate in surveys for many categories. Currently you can earn 15 points per vote and for some temporary votes you can earn 120 or 150 points. You can participate in the surveys via your email address or just through the website. The rewards are from 1000 points up to 6000 points.
