A big surprise from Global Test Market
Advantages: well-paid survey website, even if you are screened out.
Disadvantages: takes time to get paid.
Summary: my favorite survey website.
Like the name Global Test Market is an international market research company that pays members for participating in their market research. It's based in America and owned by Global Market Insite.
General information
1. sign up
You must be at least 18 years of age to join OR you must be 14 to 17 years of age and have parental or legal guardian permission to join.
Signing up for an account is very easy. You just need to provide an email address and a password. Then you need complete 8 short surveys on your profile to qualify for more opportunities.
Do remember you can also join it via some cash back websites, such as ecasher.co.uk, cashinbag.co.uk.
2. take a survey
Like mysurvey.com and lightspeed.com you can only participate in its survey after you receive an invitation via your email.
You get MarketPoints for completing most surveys or are given a couple of entries to its daily and monthly sweepstakes.
It has lots of survey topics and the survey design is user friendly. Normally it takes about 15-20 minutes to complete a survey then you can get 5-50 MarketPoints immediately.
Upon your successful completion of the survey you automatically receive 3 Sweepstakes entries. By completing a survey that you are not eligible for you will receive 1 Sweepstakes entry.
3. Rewards
On the Global Test Market site you can redeem your MarketPoints for a cheque sent by post. You have to have at least 1000 MarketPoints and that's equal to $50. The value of MarketPoints is fixed against the U.S. Dollar at 5 cents per MarketPoint.
Personal experience
I joined the website 5 months ago via Ecasher, but I did not pay attention to it.
Principally, I made a mistake about the value of MarketPoints and also I did not believe they would send me a cheque.
However I did receive invitations regularly and sometimes I completed a survey and sometimes I failed to qualify. But even if I failed I was still credited 5 MarketPoints.
Time flew. Then one day I found I had reached 1000 MarketPoints and I was able to redeem the points.
Six weeks later I received a letter from Canada. When I opened it I found there was a cheque for 30 pounds inside.
I was confused and I thought Global Test Market had made a mistake, because my expectation was roughly 6.
I logged onto the website and discovered that one MarketPoint is actually worth 5 cents not the 1 cent as I thought.
Now Global Test Market has replaced the lightspeed site as my favourite survey site.
