Poetry: My inspiration

by Jamerson Rising

Created on: September 23, 2009

Inspire me.

Wake me up.

For I can see.

For I can become alive.

For I can be free.

A slave no more.

From this tyranny.

Inspire me to make a stand.

To stand up for my rights.

In this God given land.

We are slaves.

We are the oppressed by the greedy.

Let me be an instrument of help.

To the needy.

Yes inspire me.

In this I can be truly free.

So open your eyes look around.

What do you see?

Slaves we are thinking.

That we are so free.

Oh what a travesty.
