So as UFC has come and long gone, it would be hard for me to get any of these predictions wrong. That being said, I will instead provide a quick review of this card and all the fun had while watching. I did not have the privilege of seeing all of the under card, so I will basically review based on the order that the ppv was broadcast. Get ready, knuckle up, keep it clean and come out swinging.
Josh Neer vs Kurt Pellegrino
This was an excellent opening bout. We have an excellent jujitsu specialist in Batman, also known as Pellegrino and a fairly good all around fighter, Josh the Dentist Neer. While Neer is not horrible on the ground, he was eventually outclassed by Pellegrino. Obviously Neer wanted this fight on the feet but Pellegrino would have none of it. While on his back though, Neer was able to attack and kept Pellegrino from passing and doing any damage. What little was done on the feet was basically Pellegrino holding his own but only doing enough to setup the take down. While Neer did do an admiral job on his back most of the match, he grew very frustrated and was unable to accomplish much. A late flurry at the end of the fight was far too little far too late.
Winner: Kurt Pellegrino via Unanimous Decision
Ricardo Almeida vs Kendall Grove
Here we have a amazing jujitsu practitioner in Ricardo "Big Dog" Almeida vs the TUF Season 3 Winner Kendall "The Spider" Grove. Here we have two one sided fighters. If this fight stays on its feet, Kendall will most likely take this fight, on the ground, Big Dog should do very well. That being said, Kendall does have very good take down defense and has a decent ground game. Right off the hop, Almeida rushes Grove and works for the take down. First attempt at the take down is stuffed. As the first round progresses, Almeida is holding his own on his feet but is easily just using this to set up the take down. After a decent right hand to Grove, Almeida attacks for the take down again. Take down completed, Kendall looks to survive on the ground. Ricardo almost gets Kendall's back, but Kendall fights it off only to be slammed back down where they lie for a few seconds till the round ends. This is more or less the entire fight. While Kendall does have some offense on his feet, not nearly enough to win this fight.
Winner: Ricardo Almeida via Unanimous Decision
Amir Sadollah vs. Johnny Hendricks
Finally the ultimate fighter 7 Winner who has been chronically injured will get to fight. All the time in rehab and all the training
