Punches, Kicks, Elbows, Knees, Spinning Back Fists, Superman Punch....

The list goes on. Who is the best striker in the UFC. I imagine that would depend on if you are going with style, by the numbers or the striker who knocks most of their opponents out. There is a myriad of ways this can go, so I am just going to go with the pure all around striking prowess.

So while I do not have official stats in front of me, the top strikers that come to mind are; Anderson Silva, BJ Penn, George St Pierre, Rich Franklin, Vitor Belfort, and Brandon Vera. Now first of all, keeping in mind this is just fighters in the UFC. I am also basing this on current fighting and not the past as many of the past fighters have recently not been doing well. Feared strikers like Chuck Liddle, who is obviously still dangerous and can knock anyone out given the right time, that being said, he is seemingly much slower and has not been able to knock anyone out in quite some time. Mirko Cro Crop, who was absolutely devastating in Pride, has since been anything but. He looks like a shell of his former self.

Now on to the current strikers who are bringing their A game and are very scary to fight. With out a doubt, Anderson Silva seems to have a lot of everything. He is lighting quick and can pitter patter his opponent all day if he likes while dodging all incoming attacks and when he decides to hit, it is absolutely devastating. All around, this is the best striker in the game today. BJ Penn is often over looked for his striking. His jab is one of the most accurate attacks in the game. While obvious he can get things done on the ground, his quickness combined with his power equal to amazing striking. That being said, he mainly just boxes, but it is seemingly working well for him. Another man who has recently become a winner again in the octagon is Vitor Belfort. This man has arguably the fastest hands in the sport. He is an amazing boxer. The man he knocked out is next. Rich Ace Franklin. While very unorthadox, Rich Franklin's striking is very good and on point. Not the fastest or the strongest, but very accurate and he is a very intelligent striker. Anyone who forgets this will be waking up looking at the lights. Brandon Vera has been inconsistent to say the least. That being said, when he has come to fight, his fighting style is very slick. He is very quick and posses knock out power in his hands and fists, If he can recapture his former glory, he is amazing to watch. George St Pierre is just
