Emptiness...
I feel empty. I am empty.
My life has not been that bad.
I've done many things, many things I've had.
I should be happy, not sad.
What happened?
Why not glad?
I feel empty. I am empty.
I am curious for so many things,
I have searched many things.
Some of these things, happiness brings.
Yet I feel empty. I am empty.
I have loved. Love has found me.
I would lose it, a bad place to be.
Better to have loved, than not I learned
I will agree, even when I was burned.
And yes. I was empty. I felt empty. I have become empty.
I hear songs of love and joy.
They make me feel like a boy.
Sometimes I smile to remember.
But like leaves in September.
My mood would change.
Why would my heart rearrange?
Then. I get empty. I feel empty. I am empty.
A while ago, I found the Lord, God is His name.
He took me from death, erased my shame.
Great and Glorified is He.
But lately, He doesn't hear me.
And so. I feel empty. I am empty.
Driven by the Spirit. Revelations made numb.
The more I learn, the dumber I've become.
Why is this? I don't understand.
Too often, I feel less than a Man.
No one will listen. They all just stare.
Why won't they hear me? Does anyone care?
So then.
I feel empty. I have become empty. I am empty.
What more is left?
What more to see?
What have I not found in me?
Why is it, that I am this way?
Maybe, it's just how I feel today.
But nevertheless.
I feel empty. I am empty...

The Unexplained Feeling
There's a feeling inside that can't be explained

Waste stains the landscape
The horizon is lost now
To a black future.

The Cup Is Filled
Zero bank account, empty purse,
House once full, now silent, hollow.
Man gone out, feet first,
Grave
