Money we all need it, but what will you do to get it. The love of money has caused many to follow the road to distruction.

I am a young wife and mother and my husband has been laid off from work therefore, I need a job. I started the job search but there is one type of job I really wanted. There was an opening for a bank teller in the Government district downtown Atlanta. The training classes were to start within the month if I passed the interview. I just had to pass that interview because that was the job I wanted so desperately. I thought this was such a prestigious job; you get to meet so many different types of people. As a bank teller you get to chat with the customers and work directly with money. Over a period of time you get to know your customers because they return to you. I had to get this job- I had previous banking background but it was in bookkeeping and accounting. This was not that interaction with the customers and handling the money.

The interview

I had been out of work for a few months after the birth of my and with my husband out of work we needed the money. We were now very close to broke-no money to pay the bills. I went for the interview looking very impressive not letting on that we were close to penniless. The interview went well as interviews go; I was accepted for the training program but not without reservation. Mrs. Batson really did not want me to enter the class but I had passed the test and she had no real reason not enroll me for the class. They classes went quickly and I passed and was assigned to my bank at the location I wanted to work.

The first day on the job

I had gotten up early that morning scrapping nickels and dimes to make sure that I had enough bus fare to get the work and back home. That did not bother me I knew we could borrow the money from my younger sister for a couple of weeks she has always been there for us. I arrived to work on time eager to go to work I was introduce to my fellow co-workers and assigned my location. I was the second teller from the front- that means that I was next to the chief teller. Now it was time for us to get me set up for work which means we had to inter the VAULT.

When we enter the vault I saw so much money may knees got week, I felt a knot in my stomach that had never been there before. I was so broke and there was so much money more money than I had ever seen in my life. They had extra large amounts of money because it was the first of the Month County, City, State and welfare checks would be cashed on that date. I stood shaking as I looked at all that money, and I was so penniless .But my mind quickly went back to the reason as to why I was there and it was to work. Eventually, I got to the point where the money did not bother me it was no more than precious paper that I was responsible for.

Is there anything wrong with money-No.? Money is a good thing but, the greed of money will destroy your life.
