The playoffs are fun to watch as your team is in the spotlight with the chance to show off on national television why they are the best. It is also an anxious time as the team's run might be coming to an end, gulp. You want to maximize each game for full enjoyment as you have been waiting all season for thisand in baseball it is a long 162 game season. Here are some tips to enjoy the playoff games if you cannot actually attend in person.
Enjoying the MLB Playoffs Tip #1: Host a gathering. Watching the game with friends will only cost you some six packs of beer and an array of potato chips. Forget the coasters, get down and dirty and enjoy the game. Do not forget the team themed glasses.
Enjoying the MLB Playoffs Tip #2: Watch the games at an outdoor setting. Your schedule might not allow for a big blowout viewing party as most playoff games are on weeknights, so simply going to a local sports bar or neighborhood restaurant can make the game more exciting for you. It is always more thrilling to be watching with other fans. You can groan and cheer with fellow fans, making the game more memorable than if you were on your couch and scaring your cat with your noises.
Enjoying the MLB Playoffs Tip #3: Order a big screen TV. Whether you are watching the game with your cat snowball or a bunch of your friends, you can rent a big screen TV from Rent-A-Center. A 32" flat screen would be nice, unless you already have one then think BIGGER.
Enjoying the MLB Playoffs Tip #4: Have a tailgate party outside of the stadium. If your team is playing a home game, grab a barbeque and enjoy a cookout outside of the stadium. Once the game starts, you can either stay the whole game and watch on a portable TV or go to a local hangout.
Enjoying the MLB Playoffs Tip #5: Post trash on your opponent's webpage. Each MLB team has an official page with forums. A little psychological warfare is fun as long as you keep it clean and you are merely bragging how your team will knock the pinstripes off of your opponent, unless your team is the one with pinstripes on their uniforms, of course. Sorry, the Yankees make an easy target as they are a safe bet to use as an example because they are usually in the playoffs.
If you can go to a game, then there is no substitute for being there to see it in person with the excitement in the air and your $50 hotdog on your breath. But if you cannot, then you can still enjoy your team's postseason appearance...as they make their run to the World Series! Who-ho, go ___________!
