Tiesto creates an ultra-sonic party mix on his latest recording appropriately titled Kaleidoscope, featuring the lush vocal stylizing of Kianna, Calvin Harris, Jonsi, Kale Okereke, Tegan & Sara, Nelly Furtado, Emily Haines, Priscilla Ahn, and Cary Brothers to name a few guest singers. The DJ turned electronic artist has been a virtual fixture at the annual music festival on the Spanish island of Ibiza, and every place else where dance music thrives. His dancefloor-inspired electron-icity is a boundless spring of club-pulsed flurries liken to Morcheeba with glamorous chic-pop trimmings akin to David Guetta.

Tiesto has a knack for fashioning pop culture idioms with glittery synth-pop dcor made for the club culture. His music shares a common trait with the likes of Enigma and Delirium in his ability to transcend time frames and make a club mix that withstands musical trends and whimsical fancies.

Decked out in glittery spirals and spritzing flashes of spacey synths, tracks like Surrounded By Light and the title track move in aquatic motions entailed with celestial-filled capillaries that branch out and flourish into a tapestry of radiant vistas. The club beats of Escape Me featuring C.C. Sheffield on vocals and You Are My Diamond performed by Kianna have chic-pop treads and a melodic flounce that is reminiscent of the nouveau disco fare from Kyle Minogue and Lady Gaga. Tiesto's music has an iridescence that makes the tracks sparkle like flitting cinders moving in a vining that surrounds the listener in cushions of floating vibrations. The swiveling synths and catapulting crystal-warped shards of I Am Strong featuring the lustrous voicing of Priscilla Ahn pervade a futuristic imagery, and the glimmering crackles of Here On Earth have a percolating fuse as Cary Brothers straps his vocals to the shimmery mounts.

The pixilated beats of It's Not The Things You Say create an electronic symphony of sparks twining gracefully around Kale Okereke's vocals. The glistening swerves and sonic escapades of Tiesto's music have a magnetism relatable to Kraftwerk. The rivets of pulsating beats dotting Fresh Fruit are the driving force in the techno-seamed orchestra, turning into a fluster of robotic effects in Century as Calvin Harris' vocals echo like resonating beams through the channels of shape-shifting synths.

Always detonating and shooting off sparks, Tiesto's style of trance-pop adheres to the principle of constant activity making the tracks sound colossal. Tiesto's record is designed for the world music stratum, though it is fitting for car stereos and home sound systems making dance music more personalized for listeners.
