Does God exist?

God is real.

He is as real as the world around us. You can feel Him, you can see what He does for us, and yet, we still blatantly deny Him. People throw many arguments at Christians. Some of them have a lot of logic, but some of them make no sense. It seems that they just don't want to accept that there is a higher being that we don't understand.

One of these arguments is the classic why can't we see God?'. I have a classic answer for you. Think about the window. We see the trees and the leaves move, but we know that it is the wind moving them. If someone who didn't know about the wind saw the leaves swaying by themselves, certainly it would scare them. It would look strange to see a tree moving all by itself with no explanation, yet we know it is the wind. God is like the wind. We cannot see Him, we cannot explain Him, but we know that He is there. We can feel Him, and we can also see the things that He does.

Another argument is why doesn't God keep bad things from happening?'. Once I went through a time where I didn't know what to believe. I talked to a friend about it, throwing questions at her like no tomorrow. She told me something that has stuck with me for a long time. When we go to rent a car, the rental place gives us a car. We go out and run it into a building. Then we run a red light and get hit by another car. We ignore all the road signs and all the warnings that the rental place gave us. We eventually give it back. We have to pay for the decisions we made.

God gave us a free will. He willingly gave us a life, but it was our choice what we did with it. He warned us about the world, yet we still did exactly what He told us not to. We seem to have brought all of this on ourselves. This doesn't mean that God doesn't care about us, but what kind of world would it be if it was all ice cream and sunshine?

A lot of people chose to believe that we came from apes. Personally, I hate the idea. I hate the idea that instead of just trusting in a higher being, we make up a theory that we used to be monkeys. I find it horribly degrading. Besides, it is not easier to believe that a loving God created everything around us? I find it hard to believe that I was once a limb swinging monkey. When you look at a monkey, the first thing that pops into my mind is far from I descended from that'.

The world is far too complex for evolution. The sun is so perfectly distanced from the earth. Every plant has an exact way of reproducing. Everything is so intricate that it could not have just appeared suddenly. Just because God is someone that we cannot fully understand, does not mean that he does not exist.

Accept it.
