Wisdom is the key to knowledge guided by understanding. We must first realize the source of all of our wisdom. Example: It would not make sense to take advice from a man that has never worked a day in his life, and suddenly he is an expert on how to hold a job. I daily turn to the wisest man that ever lived and check out what it is that he has to say about wisdom. Sometimes I am left a little confused until I allow the words to soak in. I also now realize in much wisdom is much grief and he who increases in knowledge also increases in sorrow. Ecclesiastes1:18. Be careful before you seek wisdom because you no longer have an excuse. The words of wisdom are not always sweet to hear but, a wise man listens and a fool walks away. This is a very true statement; the more I am aware of a situation the more my heart is grieved with pain.
Words that inspire me are those that are spoken by the person that has labored using both skill and knowledge to achieve their goal. The words of a person of that nature are like gold and should be cherished. A fool does not listen to anyone or anything. The fool will fold his hand walk away and wait for a moment to snatch that which does not belong to him; because he despise wisdom.
I recall great wisdom that my parents passed down to me, the same as that which had been passed down from their parents. To me their words of wisdom were If I always put god first in my life and allow Him to guide my footsteps each day there is no way I could go wrong in life. Mom also told me to do good my others and good would follow me. In short, it is what the scripture teaches us; do unto others as you would have them to do unto you. I believe these words because I live by them daily as a Christian.
Daily I seek wisdom and wisdom is granted. I pray that someone will share a little bit of their knowledge and wisdom with me. I also reflect on my mentors and how their words have inspired me great men like Dr. King, President Obama, President John F. Kennedy and my former pastor. Their words ring in my ears in time of need. Wisdom is the shrewdness of knowledge and how to apply that knowledge.
