It's all about survival,
no time for things that are trivial,
only what it takes to live,
all that remains is the strenght that it takes to stay sane,
stuck in a life that is just pure pain,
striving for a way to give,
is this all that their is,
dawn we where just kids,
but that is what it is and all that is left is to forgive,
at the end it does not matter,
when you have no food on your plate,
who cares which movie stars went on what date,
i have not had a meal in three days,
we lay on the concrete,
far away from the street,
hoping the cardboard sheet will help me keep some of my heat,
time is the trick insanity plays,
how did I know that I would be back home in three days,
they say crime does pay,
but neither does hunger,
it's the pain that never goes away,
you can't think,
you can't scream,
when you lay down your body is to tired to even dream,
the nightmares happen when your awake,
surrounded by cell phones, silicone,
and those that look at you with hate,
can you still remember the date,
the last day you lived as a citizen of this,
if you won the millions would they let you back in,
are you too far gone,
is looking you in the eyes a sin,
where does this story end,
I don't want to see where it begins,
I lost my life, my love, and all that I thought where friends,
how can you say to me that "time mends",
when you won't even take the time to see how this poem ends,
when the blood poured out at your feet still has a beat,
when the people you meet,
make you grind you teeth,
saying how am I here again,
how did I let fear win again,
now at the end of this song,
that you have waited for so long,
all I can say is,
survival means "press on"

My Egg Shell
Pressure to make money,
Pressure to get by,
Pressure to live,
Pressuring my head in a vice,
