Dogs
Not the friend of most cats but my best by far
Always there with your childish grin
Or with a wag of your tail when you know I didn't win
You are, my friend, a shining star.
A bark at a stranger, a bite in the night
At that scorpion who lit on my bed covers
You are the interrupter of two lovers
You are, my friend, a beautiful sight.
