If a participant doesn't reach the check point by a certain time limit they are disqualified from the race. Registration is $50.00 before December and $60.00 during the month of December. Pre-registration fee is $7.00 but students only have to pay $5.00. If you choose to register the day of the race, the registration fee is $10.00 with no student discount. All proceeds go to the Huntsville Dialysis Center.

Another marathon in March is atop Monte Sano Mountain. This is a 13.1 mile marathon that starts at 7:00pm on a Saturday and although there isn't a time limit they prefer that runners take no longer than 5 hours. Registration fees vary from year to year but what stays consistant is that there is no registration the day of the race. All fees and forms must be turned in before the day of the race.
