"Quaffing a Flagon"
Dale the Dragon
Quaffed a deep flagon,
And drank it to his heart's desire
Then he refilled his pale
With a tasty Bass Ale
That suddenly put out his fire
Without his flame
It wasn't the same,
And the knights lost all of their fear
Yea, minus the heat
They didn't retreat,
But went to his cave for a beer
And in the end
They were all friends,
And the roar from the cave was quite hearty
Knights came every day,
To drink, not to slay,
For Dale was throwing a party
The maidens were mad,
At the very least sad,
For they were forsook for a dragon
Seems the knights need
Their kiss less than mead
And their courtship much less than a flagon
