He stood there in the center of the ruined temple with his curved sword in his right hand and morning star in the other hand. Blood had splattered and dripped from his plate halberk that hung down to his knees. Both arms were tired from swinging at so many enemies that laid about him. He could hear them coming, 'so many' he thought. He needed to find a better place to fight these beasts and survive to honour her.
The deep gash that had cut under his pauldron bled down the side of his armor. Slowly he limped to a corner near the exit door where she lay. The last moments of life he wanted to be by her side. "Did you love her after you knew her destiny, or did you send her to me because you believed she could bring me back?" Davian said turning his back to walk back into the darkness.
"You know your right...she did love you and I hated you for that. But she was my wife and I was honor bond to protect her status and challenge you."
"Honor bond? Honor bond? you knew what I was the day you met me on that battlefield. You knew women would be drawn to me by this curse given to me by the gods. So this honor you speak of sending your wife with a Vampire and lets see what would happen."
