"It's a Jeep thing, you wouldn't understand," is a phrase often used by Jeep owners proclaiming their obsession over a vehicle with a long proud heritage of offering freedom and capability on and off road since 1941. If you don't understand, buying gifts for a Jeep owner may seem like a daunting task, but because of Jeep's huge following, there are a lot of options out there, and you don't have to spend a lot of money either.
One of the most popular gifts for Jeep owners is clothing. From baseball caps to socks, something sporting the famous Jeep logo will be a welcomed wardrobe addition for your Jeep lover. Printed t-shirts with an unending number of pictures and sayings are also very sought after. Even if you have to dress up to go to work, a handsome Jeep tie completes the outfit. One of the newest items is a Jeep belt with an authentic Jeep seat belt buckle. Don't think they're just for the guys, either. One popular pink t-shirt sports the saying, "Silly boy, Jeeps are for girls."
Jeep branded accessories are also much appreciated. There are some very sporty and impressive Jeep watches and pocket knives available. Jeep key chains and jewelry are also available in a variety of styles for every type of Jeep owner out there. There are even Jeep house wares for sale including clocks, bed sheets and comforters, beach/bath towels, and office chairs. For the kitchen a number of companies sell Jeep coffee mugs, beer steins and mugs, drinking glasses, and would you believe, Jeep cookie cutters?
It's never too early to early to start the kids out on the obsession either. Baby's first Jeep should be his very own Jeep stroller. Don't forget the matching Jeep diaper bag, no flowery patterns for this kid! As he gets older, he will enjoy playing with any number of die-cast or plastic Jeeps, Jeep models, or radio-controlled Jeeps. Play is good, but education is important. Why not help your child to read with Sheep in a Jeep by Nancy E. Shaw or learn about not giving up on a dream with the animated movie, "Tugger: The Jeep 4x4 Who Wanted to Fly." As the kids get a little older, they can have the experience of driving their own Jeep vehicle with Power Wheels by Fisher-Price.
One thing that adult Jeepers love to do is constantly modify their "rig." There are an endless number of genuine OEM manufacturer upgrades and after-market parts that will make your Jeep lover squeal like a school girl on Christmas morning. Besides the more technical accessories, you can help the Jeep owner in your life spruce up their ride by getting them floor mats, seat covers, bumper stickers, or spare tire covers. One of my personal favorites is an inclinometer gauge that mounts to the dashboard and tells the driver, in degrees, what angle (front to back and side to side) at which they are driving. It is very helpful to off-road drivers for avoiding roll-overs, and a neat conversation piece for everyone else.
As you can see there is SO much out there for any kind of Jeep lover. If you can imagine a gift for someone, chances are some company has a Jeep version of it available too. Many items may need to be purchased at the parts department of your local dealer or online at different e-shops, but even things like luggage and travel mugs can be found at your local Wal-Mart. So as you can see, it really is a Jeep thing. NOW do you understand?
