Money does not bring happiness

I suppose everyone has looked at the glimpses of very rich people that can buy anything and thought that must be so easy to be able to buy anything you want. We don't get to be part of what that takes and all the things that must be kept track of, the times they are approached to for new ventures, the lawyers, the meetings, the busy schedule. Do we view it, and I suppose it is sometimes, as a life that just hangs out and does nothing cause work is no longer needed. That sounds a little boring.

I've wondered if anything can be bought is the appreciation of this something that goes away. I have seen a few people with money act like they deserve everything and it was a real turn off. Once someone demeans or belittles another that to me questions what kind of person you are. Money does not give that right. I have also seen people that are kind and considerate who also have money and I have great respect for that. But still I wonder if you can buy anything does that have any satisfaction in getting that new thing. Does it feel like it was worked for?

Money does not seem to me to bring any growth regarding the person and without growth a person stays in the same place. If it is all about possessions that would seem to be pretty empty. We already know from studies that possessions don't motivate for lone and are soon forgotten unless used for work or play. But look at anyone's garage and usually there are a whole lot of forgotten things. You get something you just have to have and at the time it makes you happy, but where is it a year later?

Regarding the inside of a person and what drives or grows, the soul, nothing about that part of a person is about money or possessions. Instead it's about relationships. people, growing, learning, helping others, and finding what fills a life. This is where the happiness and loving of life comes from. Though it is nice to have money to be able to get things done this doesn't bring the joy of life. Otherwise anyone who was rich in the form of money would have no worries, would never need to be sad, would be an amazing person to be around, would love being around people, and would be a pleasure to know in all cases.
