HARRY POTTER
Another summer with the Dursley's
They always think they'll get the best of me
The wards around my heart won't break
But, there's only so much The Boy Who Lived can take.
For the sake of the wizarding world
I'll hop on the train at platform 9 and three quarters
Keep up my facade and hide behind borders
To protect all those ones I love
Even though these times are dark
I'll be the beacon that shines through
Even though the shadows are in every corner
I'll stand tall and true
It was in the prophecy
In the words that Professor Dumbledore spoke to me
The meaning behind my purpose for living
The truth in believing
I feel like a weapon most of the time
The Gryffindor in me refuses to shine
When my Slytherin comes out to play
Every time I confront Malfoy and his gang.
The battle won't be won
with all my bloody stitches left undone
Voldemort won't stand a chance
When I prepare a tactic the no-one can guess
Even though these times are dark
I'll be the beacon that shines through
Even though the shadows are in every corner
I'll stand tall and true
