How to prevent your husband from cheating

There is no way that one person can make the choices for another person. To assume that we can would be to place a heavy burden of responsibility on ourselves and relieve other people of their own responsibilities. Ultimately, we are each responsible for our own decisions, but there are things that a wife can do that will lessen the chances that her husband will be unfaithful. This is done by ensuring that you are the one meeting his needs to the extent it is possible for you to and not leaving the door to his heart open for another woman to step through.

Do not assume that your husband is going to be aware of everything that you are. Men can be rather oblivious to the tricks of women whose intent is to take what doesn't belong to them. You should be watchful and ready to give advice and help him to avoid potential disaster.

Men are not as independent and unemotional as we are sometimes led to believe that they are. They have needs, just like we do, although they may not express them as clearly or as readily. Your husband really does want to feel like you love him and appreciate him. If he is feeling unappreciated and uncared for, he will be more likely to seek out someone else to fulfill those places in himself that crave those feelings. You, his wife, should be the one that is meeting those needs for him. Let him know that you appreciate him by telling him and doing the things that he appreciates right back.

Show him affection with gentle touches, in addition to more forward physical contact. Do not forget about the sexual needs of your husband. Keep him interested and do all that you can to keep yourself up in appearance. Looks aren't everything, but a woman shouldn't just let herself go completely and assume that her husband should be accepting of this, either.

For men, the midlife crisis can be a very real and very difficult time. Educate yourself and be understanding that he might have some special needs during this time. Compliment him frequently and be sure that he knows that your interest in him as a man hasn't waned a bit. If he does some things that seem a bit out of character, know that this is fairly normal during this time. My husband came home with a new Harley Davidson and we had never rode motorcycles before at all.

No matter what, though, an unfaithful spouse can decide whether or not they are going to take that step. All that you can do as a wife is try to make sure that you are doing your part in making sure that he feels loved and cared for. Unless your husband is a philanderer by nature, that will usually be enough.
