Stars
Ocean and sky met at its peak
of lost images that are no longer within our grasp
and yet a moment away
in all that we ever could seek.
On star filled nights walking alone on the boardwalk of hope
that is endless and eternal
from Brighton to Coney
and back again within our scope.
The tall buildings that dot the every changing sky,
that is darkened by night
with only twilight images
that remind us that he could never die.
For his image is as present as that fretful day
when he looked me in the eye
and merely faded away
to a place far better
with a painless hue,
where sunsets are golden
and every sky is crystal clear and blue.
I long for him in my dreams
and grieve for him in my heart
and hurt for him for all that it seems
now that we are apart.
And yet in the horizon that bespeaks
a prison in life without any bars
I see him again in eternal youth
and know that he lives among the most magnificent stars.

The constellations are so beautiful

one might see where they are going.
