I never thought the day would come,
When I could say,
"I am free of you."
My love ran deep,
down to my core.
I could not fathom,
you wanting something more.
So many tears, I did cry,
Asking myself:
"Why, God why?"
I am no longer sad,
not feeling lonely,
or blue.
I am just happy to say,
"I am free of you."
