The saying that every little bit counts is undeniably true when it comes to coupons. So many coupons are offered in the newspaper, online and even on receipts, but so few people take advantage of them. Almost all of your favorite household items are featured in papers and website offering deals to save money, but only a few take advantage of them. Just a couple of coupons added at check out can add up to a large amount of savings, so why not take advantage of it. Why pay more money, when you don't have to?
Many argue that clipping coupons is too much of a hassle to save just a few bucks, but for others a few extra bucks are worth it. It all comes down to how important savings is to you and whether you are willing to make the extra effort. With so many different saving programs, newspapers and internet sites it is so easy to save money on items you buy all the time.
Internet sites such as coupon.com, Valpak.com, couponcabin.com and smartsource.com allow you to easily browse and print coupons from home, so you don't even need to buy a newspaper. Other sites such as cellfire.com, upromise.com and pgesaver.com allow you to load your coupons to your stores loyalty card. Thanks to the internet, the hassle of clipping coupons has now become quite a convenience to save money. What's an even greater incentive is that some stores offer to match your coupons or even double your coupons for twice the savings.
To better determine whether the hassle of collecting coupons is worth the trouble I have categorized 3 types of savers: The Super Saver, Saver, and nonexistent. Based on these categories you find which one suits your personality best. The Super Saver thrives on savings and finds coupons for any and everything possible. You are willing to take a little extra time during the week to go through ads and websites and find coupons for what you need and then look for discounts at your local store. Saving money to the Super Saver is very important and is worth looking for coupons if it is going to keep a few extra bucks in your pocket.
Then there's the Saver that likes to save, but doesn't need to save on everything. These savers occasionally browse the local ads and websites for coupons, but haven't developed a habit of finding extra savings. The Saver likes to save when they can, but it is not a priority for them when they shop.
The Saver also may only like to save on certain items such as electronics, clothing and personal items, but doesn't mind paying full price for other items. Then there's the Nonexistent that makes no extra effort to save any money except for maybe a large purchases and is more concerned with obtaining the things they like and enjoy. Decide which category you fall in and make the choice to either save money with coupons by devoting a little extra time to find savings or, continue to buy what you like regardless of the price.
