Where to sell silver coins

Many coin shop dealers if not all sell silver coins and coins of all sorts on E-bay,aside from walk in customers. So to get more out of your silver coins it would not be advised to sell them to the coin shop dealer and instead get your own table at a flea/farmers market and sell on E-Bay,unless you are in a financial situation where you need money right away.

-Advantage of E-bay and flea markets

At the flea market you sort of have your own shop and can charge what the coin dealer would sell it for himself, most people are unaware of the exact price the coin dealer would sell it for. However a person needs a sizable amount to present themselves at a market,a good way is to purchase silver coins in bulk at a discount price from a coin shop and resell them in smaller quantities at a public market.

Lets face it,there is no other market as big as E-bay when it comes to selling stuff online, and silver coins are no exception. There exists big competition over silver coins and silver of all sort on E-bay,it doesn't matter if your coins are scrap or rare collectibles, they will likely sell on E-bay at the right price. You should note the auction fees you are going to be paying, you do not want to pay too much for a listing for only a single coin, unless it's worth lots.Slightly rising the shipping and handling fees than they actually are is also a good method people imply to boost their profit margin on E-bay.Kijiji is also another good site which is free, however there is not as big of a market for silver coins yet.

-The coin shop

If you got silver for cheap some way some how, either inheriting the silver coins or saving them from ages ago, then the coin dealer is probably the better option. At the coin shop you will get your money right there, and most reputable coin dealers give out the exact spot price for your silver. They simply charge more when they sell it,but when they buy it you can expect to get the exact spot price of silver, which is not a bad deal. For rare coins that are worth more than their metal weight value,it's best to get educated,a dealer might tell you that your coin is a lower grade than it actually is to save himself a lot of money and sell it as it's actual higher grade for sometimes double what he gave you,so exercise caution.

-Your own website

Having your own website to promote your silver coins is ok,however people may not trust you, therefor you will lose a lot of potential customers. However if you own a big supply of silver coins it might be worth it,since you never have to pay a website to post your ads by owning one, auction and E-bay fees can be a burden.

A combination of all the above or a few seems to work fine for most people, depending on your location, for some online methods is the only option. There is probably other ways but these seem to be the most popular ways.
