There is a significant difference between being lonely and being alone. Countless things can fill the void of loneliness and one pronounced example is Internet dating. Often, solitude is not only welcome but necessary, but from what I've been told the promise of companionship births actions such as joining Internet dating sites like Match, eHarmony, Faithmate, Blackpeoplemeet and Yahoo personals to name a few. Before becoming members of these sites a person is welcome to browse the profile of their prospective companion. Finding a site that not only best suits you, but has the highest rate for matching people together, adorned with your credit card and basically nothing else to lose you upgrade your membership from the ability to browse to actually correspond.
After perusing profile after profile ready to give up that certain someone catches your eye. What he's written about himself coupled with his flawlessly perfect picture your attention and curiosity is peaked. Gathering strength you "Wink". Several times a day you log onto the site awaiting a reply. Finally, you're sent an email the person you winked at has winked back. At the prompting of the web site's automatic response features suggesting that you send him an e-mail to express further interest you adhere to its advice. He reads and responds to your initial email, and you two engage in a steady stream of email correspondence. During one such email he writes, I enjoy this method of communicating with you, but I am ready to expand to telephone contact. Let me know your thoughts. No rush or pressure I would just like to start hearing your voice.
After taking a deep breath you send a reply email which contains you cell phone number. Before long, you two are telephone companions. When talking to your "perspective" whether it's about the weather, his workload or him simply saying your name you instantly experience a severe case of the warm fuzzies and the smile playing across you lips is unending. Nice right!? It doesn't take long for him to ask if you two could meet face to face and after some back and forth you decide on a date, time and location. On the day of your date your heart beats a little faster and just the thought of holding a conversation with this person sometimes makes your mouth dry. You mentally check your appearance and silently rehearse different things you'll say to him when the opportunity presents itself. As he enters the restaurant, to you he looks like perfection after all by now
