While there are no requirements to believing in God it is true that a great many religions do like to put dogma and fire and brimstone at the door step of discovery I personally believe that there is nothing wrong with being agnostic, I personally only advocate not being one way or the other because God does not and can not if he truly is all knowing and all loving care about what side we are on or weather or not we ever get off the fence. I am a Gnostic and advocate that if we shut doors before we know what is behind them we just may miss out on something really great and insightful, and if we shut the door, never open or don't like what we see and shut it then we close the door to life and what life is all about. Exploration of what ever you feel is important to you. Sitting on the fence is OK because Gods love for you is not Dependant on you getting off the fence and choosing a side. As a spark from God I can tell you that it works for me to open as many doors as I can and never shut out the possibility that I may gain something positive by opening the door rather than being afraid to try or just opening it a crack. Disappointment is a part of life and the chance that we may be disappointed if we open certain doors is always there but I feel you just can not go wrong by believing you deserve to be loved and feeling as if you are the most important thing created because this thinking allows you to be selfless and confident in letting others know they matter. So stay on the fence or jump off onto one side or the other but my biggest aspiration is that there be only one side and that would be the side that makes you feel loved and worthy, needed and indispensable in a positive way. Fear is negative and please if you never get anything else this is so important fear has no place in God's realm and you have nothing to fear by being who you were created to be "YOU" Many Blessings to all.
