First door springs open at the moment of birth
First breath marks the start of a journey on this earth
First hug and first bonds affect that life forever
First experiences serve to form a follower or a leader
A journey, long and twisting, passing through many doors
Some remain firmly closed, others beg to be explored
With two doors is a dual choice of which one to enter
What experiences might lie behind each to encounter?
With three or more confusion reigns, so many rooms to go into
Each one offering new knowledge, new experiences to go through
Step over some thresholds and past doors remain locked ever more
Others offer a get-out clause; return if it's not what you're looking for.
Huge heavy doors representing life's momentous experiences
Colourful doors signifying fun, enjoyment or suspense
Dark gloomy doors that sometimes offer no alternatives
Push through these undesirable rooms to go on and reach the next
Doors symbolizing dreams, hopes, fantasies and wishes
Doors indicating social, romantic and professional choices
A maze of rooms behind locked doors, where to find the key?
Sometimes it comes at a price, other times it's offered for free
Doors typifying the confusion and uncertainty that is life
Who has got the secret to take away the strife?
Discard the obvious; is there a window, trap door or something more?
Remember too that hope can unlock the heaviest of doors.

Many different paths, of which one must be chosen
Different doors can take us farther than
Open doors
Open the moment you are willing to acknowledge God has the key to all doors,
In the beginning of time he set the
