If you are a teenager and are looking for more ways to fit exercise into your routine, you can do it easily. It may seem hard to get a workout when you have school most of the day and then have to do homework most of the night. How can you get enough exercise? There are many ways; at least one should apply to everyone.
One thing you can do is, if your school is not too far, walk or ride your bike to school and back. It may not sound like that much exercise, but it is a lot when you do it every day. A second thing is, if walking or riding to school is not an option, walking, running, or riding a bike before school. Just wake up 20 minutes earlier and go exercise, because it only takes 20 minutes a day to get your exercise, although an hour is ideal for teenagers. You could also do this right before dinner, and it will get your appetite up.
To get that hour, you could join a sport, unless that takes too much time in which case you could join a sports club. These are not usually every day but if they are, they aren't more than an hour and a half. There are many sports that you can play in a club, like tennis, track and field, golf, and most likely many more depending on your school's situation. That is a great way to get all your exercise!
Another thing you can do is incorporate exercise into some of your chores. Instead of walking your dog, run your dog. You could also run in place while doing dishes or the laundry. There are many ways of fitting a workout into things that you do every day, just be creative!
Lastly, you may be considering taking a part-time job. Try to choose one that has a little walking or running around in it,rather than the normal fast food job where you stand around and take orders. You could get a job restocking grocery shelves, pushing grocery carts back inside, or even working for a delivery company. All of these will let you run around a little, while making some extra cash!
When you are a teen, your schedule is packed from morning to night with homework, school, chores, and more. You feel like you aren't getting your hour per day recommended exercise, you can get that in many ways if you try. Have fun exercising!
