During the fall, the United States has many beautiful places where a person can view the magnificent foliage scenery. From East Coast to West Coast, the United States becomes dressed in vibrant colors of green, gold, purples, red, yellow, orange, and brown as leaves change colors. For those fortunate to reside in these areas, seeing this splendor is a simple matter of just stepping outside or looking out a window. For the majority of citizens, enjoying this amazing vista requires some traveling.
The main question then becomes where the best place to travel to is. Consideration must also be given to what else there is to do in the area, in case the weather turns bad. One must also be prepared to find other diversions in case Mother Nature has decided not to dress up for the occasion. Thus, the best destination then depends on the person's likes and dislikes. The scenery is breathtaking, and the prices are usually a bit cheaper due to being off-season. No matter what a person's other interests are, at least one place that fits his or her needs can be easily found.
It is possible to find tours to view the fall scenery by air, by land, and by water. Car, bus, boat, plane, train, walking, and horseback tours are offered throughout the season all across the United States. Some of these tours will even take you to see Canada's beautiful fall foliage.
Most of these tours not only include views of magnificent scenery, they also include various other site-seeing attractions. Some tours include visits to historical sites, such as Civil War battle sites, or famous landmarks, such as Martha's Vineyards. Others include fun activities, such as camping, golfing, fishing, and horseback riding. Attending local fall festivals and participating in local customs may be offered, as well.
Tours may include trips to museums and theatres, shopping for antiques, visiting rustic villages, or visiting nearby metropolises and
