Over the past decade the problem of transnational crime has been a major threat to the European and developing nations of the world. According to United Nations convention Transnational crime is defined as the group of three or more persons who aim to commit one or more serious offences in order to achieve some material or financial benefits. It is clear by definition that transnational crime is the crime that violates laws of one or more state. In Result, Transnational crime is a specific kind of crime which mainly deals with low risk and high margin of profits by the exploiting boundaries and jurisdiction as its strategic advantages. Thus in this Article, we are going to put light on the different aspects or forms of Transnational crime which will unfold major problems associated with the organised crime. Later in the second part of article we will be discussing what are the various strategies adopted by the contemporary policing organisations in context to the Transnational criminal activities carried out in developed countries like USA and Australia.
Transnational Crime and Major Forms of Transnational Criminal Activity.
Since 1990's organised crime or transnational crime has underwent major changes which has largely reflected in the development of illegal sector of criminal activities involving drugs, human trafficking and unlawful supply of ammunition. In other words we can say that transnational crime has been totally organised into a new phase with the advancement of modern technics and knowledge. Taking an example of traditional criminal groups which were prevailing in the post war period specifically in the year 1950's recalls the relation between the American gangsters and Italian mafias. As the time passed the year 1960's was marked as a change in the form of Chinese criminal groups and Turkish heroin smugglers who were well known for their criminal connections throughout the world. Thus traditional criminal activities were exclusively limited and based on the ethnicity network which classified a particular criminal trade.
In present globalise world Transnational crimes holds a great diversity and dimensions which means that Transnational crime are not only limited to a particular form of crime which involves drugs or arms but has also taken shape of various motivated groups. Over here the best motivated group's example are the terrorist group who with the aim of destruction work to hinder or overthrow the government by their revolutionary
