What i dread, what i most fear.
As the same story passes near and nearer
And as I struggle the cycle glory wanes
Emoting the only now nothing remains
No sorrow no sigh
I mine as well die
Before coming to know
That it came to be so
I am soon to see you once again
Without that spark that brought my pain
Without that pain that made my sigh
Your most pleasant lullaby.
I speak to truthfully i admit

I must seek that which i see most fit
To wrap me in hideous regret
Of the smile that was left to fret
About the things i cannot undo
The distance growing between me and you
And though i fought i lost
My purposeless trust, tossed
To the meaningless meaning
I placed in demeaning
My lack for your lust
My heart is careening
Through foggy confusion
My soul strikes allusion
On a thought once considered
To be rotten and littered.
Existing only to exist
curving, coming to a twist
Expecting all the consequences
Never the reward
Freely painting picket fences
With paint brush, paint and board
I paint this fence
Not to convince
But to put paint on picket fence.
I live this life
Through times of strife
Scaring lips in grim delight
Of my nihilist taking flight
About the world which such travesty
Takes place to behold selfish majesty
Just as i, or me, hold myself to be
Absolutely necessary
For this page would not be real
And this pain would never heal
Had i chosen to stay inside
The womb in which i now confide
And tell my tale of commitment
Only to make sure
That my intention remains pure
And my purpose prevails resentment.
