Not feeling adventurous enough to travel across oceans to the African continent? No worries. The Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas gives you the feel of Egypt with the sights and sounds of the Las Vegas strip. Your first view of the Luxor flying into McCarran International airport is a massive pyramid sitting on the southern end of the strip. Egyptian Pharaohs and guards stand as massive statues in front and throughout the building. The building is beautiful and the theme is consistent throughout.

Since the hotel is pyramid shaped there are no elevators, but "inclinators" take you to your pyramid room where you can look out at the desert mountains or down on to the bustling Las Vegas Strip. There are also two towers that mimick normal hotel structure. The rooms are tastefully decorated in bright colors true to theme. The open air structure allows you to step out of your room and look down onto the casino floor.

There are great places to eat right in the hotel. From the casual Pyramid Cafe for a 24/7 experience or the Backstage Deli that serves triple decker sandwiches. Fusia, chic Asian fusion is a great choice for girl's night. Sip cosmos and enjoy the Asian inspired cuisine to begin the night's events. As with most Las Vegas hotels, the Luxor Buffet is outstanding. Serving everything from breakfast potatoes to prime rib, it is casual dining for the entire family.

You really could go to Las Vegas and never leave the Luxor if that's what you wished. LAX is one of the hottest nightclubs in Vegas. Known for its Brittany Spears sightings, LAX is a popular nighttime destination right in the lobby of the Luxor. Not up for the loud and wild crowd? Try the Aurora lobby bar for good conversation and people watching. If you don't want to break away from you odds, you can always head over to Playbar located in the sports book area of the hotel.

The headliner at Luxor is "Entertainer of the Year", Carrot Top. He's become a Luxor favorite and you'll catch him strolling around the casino. And no visit to Las Vegas would be complete without catching a Cirque du Soleil performance. Well, you're in luck at the Luxor because the hotel plays host to "Criss Angel Believe" a unique creation by the creators of "O" and "Wintuk". If you are in the mood for something lighter, check out "Menopause the Musical" right in the hotel theater.

The Luxor offers an entire Las Vegas experience under one pointed roof. Nightlife, good food, fun, gambling, and Vegas shows are all at your disposal when you choose to stay and play at the Luxor. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is uniquely Las Vegas. You are sure to enjoy your trip.
