LeBron James is one of the biggest stars the league has ever seen, and it is only natural that fans of other teams would want their team to try and pursue this young man of 24. The Cleveland Cavaliers have gone from a team that was lottery bound to perennial championship contenders within the span of 6 years, and the Cavs will only conceivably get better as James himself improves. But does that mean that he will sign an extension with the Cleveland Cavaliers after this NBA season is over? I personally believe that he will, but that does not mean that a few of the teams in the NBA should not be excited about the possible acquisitionof this young stud. Here I will list the four teams that I see as a possibility for James to join after this NBA season and explain why I feel this way about each team.
Cleveland Cavaliers:
As stated earlier perennial championship contenders, young PG, SG, PF and deep roster overall, but an aging front court may make him consider a different team. The Cavs however can offer James more money and years then any other team can, and they have a large opportunity to improve this year at the trade deadline by trading a combination of Big Z, and some young players for an all star from a cash strapped team.
New Jersey Nets:
As shown by this link http://hoopshype.com/salaries/new_jersey.htm the New Jersey Nets next off season will be huge players in the free agency market because they have based off of the NBA commissioners salary cap figure of 50 million dollars about 33 million to spend. That potentially could mean that the Nets could sign LeBron James and a combination of Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, Amare Stoudemaire, Joe Johnson, or possibly two of the past their prime superstars to compliment LeBron. The past their prime stars include Shaquille O'Neal, Dirk Nowitzki, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Tyson Chandler (although not past his prime), Kobe Bryant (IF he decides he wants more rings), Allen Iverson, and many, many, many more players that are very good. The Nets roster outside of the stars would be one of talent. Brook Lopez is already a top 10 Center in the NBA after just his rookie campaign, Devin Harris is an all star caliber PG, and Courtney Lee is a very good defender. Those three players plus the player that the Nets drafted this year Tarrance Williams, and they will without doubt in my mind obtain another lottery pick in next years NBA draft as well. Of course signing two superstars to one team is incredibly against the odds, but it
