How to rebuild your life after divorce

The ink is dry on the divorce; now what? Plenty, if you choose to be optimistic about your life. Many men and women have a terrible realization after the ink is dry. It really is over! But it's not over for you. You have a second chance at love and life. What an exciting thing! If you believe with all earnestness that life holds new opportunity, you will find it.

For those on the side of divorce that honestly did not want it or see it coming, your spouse left you for another. Or they simply filed for divorce - to in their mind - have their life back. Whatever the reason, if you did not want it, it still hurts like hell. In these instances you must hold on to, this was not about you. This is your spouse's drama, not yours. Thank goodness you no longer have to put up with this behavior and you can move on to a more healthy and happy relationship. There is someone out there for you, don't feel after years and years of marriage you won't again find love. Be open to it and you will. Life is handing you a second run at life. That's a hugely exciting thing.

Many will say "I loved my life, I don't want to start over." It's not starting over. Your life is in play; this is a new chapter. You don't go back to square one. Never pay for real estate you already own. You have covered too much ground to say "I begin again". Although you are beginning a new chapter in your life, but the book that is your life continues. The new chapters are a blank canvas for you to fill with beautiful memories.

Moving on should be an adventure. Certainly there will be trials and tribulations that will rear their ugly head. But nothing worth having comes free and nothing worth having comes without tests. You can choose to see these tests as problems or challenges. Those of you that choose the challenge will be able to rise above all obstacles with your new found strength. What hurts the most toughens us the most. When you are ready to grit your teeth and dig in, you will find new energy and faith in yourself. It's there you simply have to muster up the courage to bring it forward. You can!

It's hard to look at divorce as a gift. But Tony Robbins TM says it best, "Thank God this person is out of my life to make room for someone who is right for me." The gift if you choose to accept it as such. Well much of it will largely depend on you. But you will receive new strength, new hope and new love. You get a do-over in your life. How cool is that? Choose to accept the gift of new birth. Give yourself the opportunity to experience life in a whole new way. If you are reading this the rebuilding process has already begun. Get a move on and go get your new life. See you there!
