Please do not curse god for your misfortunes. Yes he is compassionate, he has loving eyes for all. But I am sorry to say, he did not create the world, nor can he do anything. It may be a shock to you, my friend, but your actions of body, speech and mind, created this world.

There are four results from a past action, meaning there are four results in the future of your actions now...

I use the results for the ten misdeeds to see what misdeeds I have done in the past so I can purify them

These are the misdeeds :

Killing, stealing, sexual misconduct, lying, divisive speech, harsh words, idle talk, craving, ill will and wrong views.

1. Depending on conditions such as your motivation, the object of the action, whether the action was completed or not and the rest, the result is a birth in the three lower realms as an animal, a craving spirit or hell being. You cannot see other realms, you can only see the animal realm but they exist. And they exist truly, not as a figment of the mind or a state of being - that is what lazy minds like to think of it.

2. Then there are results of the misdeed where you acquire the habit of the same. For example, you like to get angry, you enjoy lying, harsh words come naturally to you and the rest.

3. & 4.) But the results of corresponding experience and environment give me clues to what I need to purify. It is said by the teacher, the one gone thus, who has passed beyond all sorrow, the one who helps all beings and knows perfectly what is to be given up and what is to be taken up - to see your future, look at what you are doing in the present.

Similarly, look at the present and see what you have done in the past. It is like a crystal ball. Then you can purify. No matter how many mantras you recite, prayers or acts of virtue, these will not work well without the proper purification. Without the proper purification, you can never concentrate. Without concentration you will not have the higher wisdom to understand your true nature and your true reality.

What are the results of killing that is corresponding experience and environment? You have a short life, you are continually unhealthy. And you live in a place which is dangerous or unhealthy.

What of stealing? You don't get the things you need to support yourself, or you can never have your own things. As for the environment, you live in a place where crops do not ripen properly, there is famine and drought or the equivalent thereof in your urban setting.
