Decorating is very much a part of the Christmas holiday. Decorations can easily be displayed each holiday without putting holes in walls or fixtures. Consider taking down items you already have on the wall, and reusing the same nail or hook to display a Christmas decoration. Here are some simple ideas to help you continue to decorate easily and without worry.

Brick Hangers

Outdoor Christmas decorations can also be displayed without drilling a hole into your brick. Manufacturers make brick hangers, similar to siding hangers, to make decorating simple and damage free. Check with your local hardware store, or search on-line. For on-line searching, type the words "brick hangers" (without the quotes) into your computer's search engine and enter.

Christmas Ornament Hooks

For small decorations, that you'd like to hang around your home, simply attach a Christmas ornament hook, and hang over the tops of curtain rods, lamp shades, and other areas. To remove, simply take down and remove the hanger. Store your hooks with your Christmas decorations for convenience.

You can locate these supplies in most office supply stores and again in school and office supply sections of retail department stores. You will also find many stores sell them in the hardware sections, near other hooks. These products come with a removable adhesive that leaves the wall or surface without damaging it. They are wonderful and are sold in many styles, shapes, colors, and will hold different weights. Hang Christmas stockings and other decorations with these. Simply follow the package directions to remove them, and store you clips and hooks until next year. You will only need to purchase more adhesive strips. For convenience mark a location in your home for these, or store them directly in with your holiday storage boxes.

Light Hooks

Display Christmas lights on the outside of your home, by attaching them with removable plastic hooks. Various sizes and types are sold in the holiday sales aisles. Many of them attach directly to your gutters or to your siding. This allows you to display Christmas lights without making holes with a stapler or nail. Remove them at the end of the holiday, and store along with your Christmas lights.

Magnetic Hooks

Many front doors are magnetic, and magnetic hooks are wonderful for decorating them. Search the Christmas sales aisles for strong magnetic door hooks. These will hold more weight than
