Poetry: Nonsense

by Jacinda

Did you ever wonder about the magical world

that exists just through the mirror?

Its a place brimming full of wonderment,

with the absence of all fear.

An easy escape right through the glass,

yet seems an eternity away.

I've been there several times in fact,

I now can easily find my way.

My troubles are all long forgotten

Once through to the other side.

It feels like a new carefree me is born

and the old boring me temporarily died.

I fly through the furry pink grass

and skip across the tops of trees,

I easily glide through the squishy air

and I nap in the fluffy breeze.

Flowers hang from greenish clouds,

and ice cubes sprout from the ground.

cupcakes fall like singing rain,

and the sun is square, not round.

The animals all laugh and speak

and are great for friendship and advice.

I prefer to confide in the tiger,

but if all else fails, an elephant will suffice.

The minotaurs make the best of friends,

and unicorns talk only in riddles.

The dragons are most entertaining,

they dance jigs and all play fiddles.

Flying pigs are very down to earth,

and goblins do good deeds.

The giants are the tiniest things,

and the flowers are best friends with the weeds..

To think about it seems confusing,

but when there it feels so right.

I love to escape the stress of life,

and slip through the mirror sometimes at night.
