Late at night when all is still
I hear the sounds of snowflakes
I see the mountains and the pines
And below I see a lake
I hear the howling of the wolf
As it calls to lonely mate
Colorado calls me home
I hope I'm not too late
In secluded woods the cabin stands
To welcome me at last
I have to hurry with my plans
As winter is coming fast
I can see the fireplace burning brightly
The warm wool blankets on the floor
I can even hear a gentle knocking
Of someone at the door
In wish filled dreams I see your smile
The winds begin to blow
But I awaken and I wonder
If I shall ever go
