Raindrops
Freefalling from loftiest cloud
Dancing from leaf to leaf
Sliding down the branches
To a pool of brothers brought before
The raindrop, having no agenda
Goes where it may
Splashing onto highest rooftops
Sliding easily to the edge
And drips
Onto the ground
Where it nourishes
Cools, hybernates
Until the sun comes out
Heating the earth
Evaporating each raindrop
Into the sky
To once again
Be freefalling from the loftiest cloud
