There is no other line of automobiles with more personality and more rugged strength than Jeeps. Jeeps are the all time off road vehicles in the world. You see them on the highway; you have seen them in the middle of the woods. They are the standard for American domination of the outdoors. They are known for their ability to take on snow, mud, and rocks. There truly is no other car like it. Toyota's SUVs don't have it, and neither does Ford. They all have the capability of going anywhere, but they don't carry the character and persona of a Jeep. It is not just a brand; it is a state of mind.
Why is it that Jeeps have all this built in individuality? Why do owners of Jeeps live in a world of their own? Why do Jeep owners love their cars more than anything else? Why do Jeeps take on the all-American car feel? More Jeep owners take their SUVs off-road than any other make. Jeep carries its owners to new heights and new boundaries. The owner population is vast and diverse. No other brand entices its drivers better than Jeep. They have the off-road reputation that keeps Jeep owners off the roads.
My principle inspiration for Jeep nostalgia was the Popular Mechanics article titled It's a Jeep Thing. In this article the author went into detail on certain experiences you might find at Jeep gatherings. The Jeep Jamborees are a safe and controlled environment for Jeep owners to strut their stuff. It also talked about the ideology of a Jeep owner. Every Jeep is made to deal with anything that you can throw at it.
The Jeep brand comes with its own personality. You look at a Jeep that has just been through a mud pile and there is nothing else like it in the world. People go out and buy Jeep shirts, letting everyone else know that they love their Jeep. Ford Explorers, Nissan Xterras, or Land Rovers can never get what Jeep has. Their owners are just as unique as the cars they drive. At Jeep Jamborees, Jeep owners from all over the country come to forget the troubles of their real lives and just be free. Jeep owners are like an extended family you never knew you had. One thing I have learned is that Jeep owners are not pack hunters. They bond more with their Jeeps more than anyone else. The attachment between my Jeep and me is like nothing else I have ever experience.
The influence and emotions that Jeeps have on their owners is invaluable. No other brand of SUV makes a person feel more connected to their surroundings. Jeeps will unlock the hidden treasures of nature, and then rip the hell out of it. These cars carry their own personality and behavior. Jeep is not just a brand; it is a state of mind.
