We all hate it when we come home from shopping and realise that we haven't really brought anything worth buying, whether its because we were to busy buying chocolates and biscuits or because we don't have all the ingredients to cook the meal. This is when we're in a bit of a sticky situation, our tummy is grumbling and our pockets are empty.
To avoid situations like this, you need to know the "Three Fast Healthy Meals" these meals are beneficial to your health, so you wont be tempted to take a trip to McDonald's. They are fast, so you wont have to spend the whole night for something that your only going to eat for a short period of time.
There are ingredients that you always need to make sure you have. If you always have a set of these things you will never have to worry about what your going to eat and how long it is going to take.
Pasta is one of the quickest food to make. There are many types of Pasta, some of the most popular ones are: macaroni, spaghetti, noodles and vermicelli. This delicious food is extremely nutritious Its high in complex carbohydrates which provide energy for a longer period, this is essential if your planning to do something energy consuming after eating your dinner .Because pasta expands as you cook it, Make sure you have a fairly large pot to boil your pasta in. If you have a microwave in your home, you may find cooking pasta is easier than it seems.
To cook pasta using a microwave
You will need a microwaveable bowl and cling film.
Fill the microwaveable bowl with a small amount boiled water and a little bit of salt.
To avoid exploding things, cover the Pasta with cling film.
Poke some holes into the cling film.
Break Pastas such as spaghetti.
You then need to use the forking method to separate the pasta using a fork.
Place the bowl into a microwave on high for an estimate of 4 to 5 minutes.
Repeat the forking method and re-microwave for the same time
Prawns, you don't even need to cook prawns most of the time. Defrosting them and putting them into a bowl is all you really need to do. If you have a little more time than you expected you could always try experimenting with your prawns for an example: Adding them to your stir fry or making a tasty quick prawn cocktail.
Tuna, To cook this simple food, you only need to remove the tuna from your tin, and add low fat mayonnaise.
