When you went down the hardest roads that you ever traveled,
All you had to do was look ahead and you've would of known
I was always there.
When the pain became to much and your life began to unravel.
And you thought I didn't cared.
All you had to do was reach out in front of you
And you would of notice I was always there.
When you felt your life was full of heartache & to much despair,
Some how if you would called out my name on any given day.
You would of seen I was always there.
If only you'd wouldn't allowed your your pride to get in the way.
Maybe just maybe you would of finally noticed that
I was always there for you just lighting your way.

I was there.

I was always there,
Holding you ever so close.
Ready to lift you.
