NATURAL SUNBURN RELIEF

Sunburns can be very irritating but there are many natural ways and methods of sunburn relief. The most common and available is use of water for sunburn relief. Cold water presses and showers help keep sunburn cool and hydrated. In most cases, taking cool baths will clear the problem. Drinking more water helps to regain lost skin water to re-hydrate the body and prevents headaches and fatigue too.

Amazingly, most foods are useful for sunburn relief too! Cucumber is one of them, and when we squeeze its juice and then mix it in glycerin and rose water, it gives very outstanding sunburn relief. Soaking in luke warm water containing baking soda for sunburn relief is soothing and relieving too. Soaking a clean cloth in milk or milk products and dabbing it on the affected area gives a soothing sunburn relief too. Milk fats and lactic acids in milk are a remarkable natural sunburn relief.

Yogurt too has natural enzymes and acids that are good for sunburn relief. Adding lavender to yogurt will be even more beneficial. Mashed cabbage leaves are applied on the affected skin for sunburn relief and white vinegar too, when mixed in water, is also a good sunburn relief when applied directly to the affected skin. Mashed wheat grass is also a good sunburn relief when applied directly on the sunburn affected areas on the skin. All these foods, mostly found at home, are used for sunburn relief.

Natural herbs are also used for sunburn relief. Aloe Vera is the most common of them. Aloe gel contains anti-inflammatory effects and is used to for sunburn relief and also healing wounds. Tea tree oil mixed in olive oil and then applied directly to the skin will wonderfully sooth the sunburned skin and prevent its peeling and itching too. Boiling tea in water and applying it on the skin after it cools is a sunburn relief because tea contains natural chemicals which can sooth the skin and prevent further damage.

Chamomile oil and lavender oil added in bath water will bring a soothing sunburn relief when one soaks in it for an hour. Applying undiluted apple cider vinegar to the sunburned skin will be good and will bring natural sunburn relief too. Applying thin slices of tomato or potato directly to the skin will bring another soothing sunburn relief.

All these are natural methods of sunburn relief. While doing all that, please avoid any more sun contact until the sunburn is relieved. Avoid wearing clothes which will irritate the sunburned skin too. Taking oral supplements will increase the healing of the skin and bring sunburn relief. Vitamin C, Vitamin E and natural antioxidants found in fresh juices, fruits and vegetables will also help in healing of sunburn and bring sunburn relief. Vitamin C prevents the scarring of the skin, and Vitamin E acts as an anti inflammatory of the skin. All these are natural ways of sunburn relief and treatment.
