Poetry: Just a dream

Dreaming Fair

My dreaming eyes danced on the flyer so fair.

She was a-glisten, a-shimmer way up in the air
Her sparkling wings were shining in the night
they set my mind afire in my dreamer's sight.
Spider-web gossamer clad her uncommon form

And she danced in my dream, so soft and warm

As I watch her move, all in silvery grace,
Joy and laughter were shining from her tiny face.

And my heart was filled with untold pleasure
for this tiny creature, a dreamer's treasure.

Oh I would dream forever if in dreams I could see

The light-flying creature that came once to me,

But a harsh calling voice called me to "Awake!"

Then the dream ended...and I felt my heart break.
