I loved you once but then it ended
My heart, once broken
Has finally mended

I loved you once but now it's over
You set me free
To find another lover

I loved you once but never again
I'm happy now
Don't need the pain

I loved you once but that ship has sailed
I cried and I cried
I even wailed

I loved you once but never twice
Was happy once
Then paid the price

I loved you once but that's all gone
Am settled now
I'm not alone
