How to promote your own writing at Reddit without jeopardising your account is something which has become considerably more difficult since the spamming allegations of early 2009. More so now than ever, not only the Reddit site administrators but the regular users of Reddit are on the look out for those looking simply to make some quick cash out of their own writing material as opposed to making a valuable contribution to the site and sinking such people's admissions without trace for all eternity.

There do remain, however, a number of ways to promote your own writing at Reddit without jeopardising your account. They rely, however, more now on the maxim that there is more than one way to skin a cat and even upon a little subterfuge and tactical manipulation.

The first step in establishing how to promote your own writing at Reddit without jeopardising your account is to examine your own personal history of making submissions to Reddit. Particularly if you happened - even inadvertently - to be one of the Reddit users associated with the great spam debate, it is likely that your account identity will have been forever - or at least for the very long term - compromised. Regular Reddit users will be able to identify you from your submissions and bury your content accordingly.

It is a good idea at this time therefore to set up a whole new identity on Reddit. This should be one which in no way identifies you as the author of anything which you intend to submit to the site and cannot be traced back to your old identity.

They should be independent websites which offer valuable information upon the topic and ones which you present to your fellow Reddit users in an informative and interesting fashion.

As you begin to become established on the site, it is possible to subtly begin promoting your own writing at Reddit without jeopardising your account. Maintain your previous practises at all times and submit no more than one of your own pieces of writing in every ten. Try also to submit your writings from a variety of hosting platforms, as opposed to for example all Helium articles.

If you are subtle enough and proactive enough in the techniques described above, you should find in the medium to long term that it remains entirely possible to promote your own writing on Reddit without jeopardising your account.
